Welcome to PinkyPact (“the app”, “we”, “us”, “our”). PinkyPact is a two-person accountability app that lets you and one partner set shared tasks and remind each other to finish them. By downloading, installing, or using the app, or by using our website at pinkypact.app, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the app or the website. PinkyPact is operated by Tóth Tamás, Iglic utca 2/1, 2142 Nagytarcsa, Hungary.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it.
PinkyPact is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. By using the app you confirm that you meet this age requirement and are able to enter into a binding agreement.
The app creates an anonymous identifier on your device when you first open it. You do not register with a name, email, or password. You are responsible for the device you use and for any activity that happens through your copy of the app.
Because your account is anonymous, keep your pairing connection and any partner recovery details safe. If you lose access to your device, you may lose access to your account and its data.
PinkyPact is designed to be used between two people who choose to pair with each other. When you pair:
Only pair with people you trust. We are not responsible for the content your partner adds or for how they use information you share with them through the app.
You agree not to use PinkyPact to:
You are solely responsible for the task text, display name, and any other content you create in the app.
We do not tolerate abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable content between paired users. If your partner sends task text that breaks these rules, you can report it from inside the app by holding down on the promise, and you can end the pairing at any time. You can also write to us at [email protected]. We review every report we receive and may remove content, suspend, or permanently terminate the account responsible.
The app sends push notifications to remind you and your partner about tasks. You can control or disable notifications in your device settings. Disabling notifications may reduce the usefulness of the app.
PinkyPact is free to download and use. PinkyPact Plus is an optional paid upgrade.
What Plus does. A free account can hold one open promise at a time. PinkyPact Plus raises that limit to three open promises. Plus adds no other features at this time. If we add features to Plus later, we will describe them in the app before you buy.
One purchase covers both partners. If either you or your paired partner has an active Plus subscription, the higher limit applies to both of you for as long as that subscription stays active. If the pairing ends, Plus stays with the person who bought it.
How it is sold. Plus is an auto-renewing subscription offered on a monthly or yearly basis and sold through the Apple App Store. Apple is the seller for these purchases. The price and the billing period are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing and cancelling. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten or refund the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.
Refunds. Because Apple is the seller, refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s own policies, and any refund request should be made to Apple. Deleting the app, ending your pairing, or deleting your PinkyPact account does not cancel your subscription and does not by itself entitle you to a refund.
Restoring a purchase. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore purchases on the Plus screen to recover an active subscription bought with the same Apple Account.
If Plus ends. When a subscription lapses or is cancelled, your limit returns to one open promise. Promises that already exist are not deleted. You simply cannot create new ones until you are back under the limit.
Price changes. We may change the price of Plus. Apple notifies subscribers of a price increase and, where required, asks for consent before it takes effect. A price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.
Consumer withdrawal rights. If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA, or the UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. Because Apple is the seller of record, exercise that right through Apple.
PinkyPact relies on third-party services to work, including Google Firebase (for authentication, storage, and functions), Expo (for delivering push notifications), PostHog (for pseudonymous analytics), Apple (for in-app purchases and payment processing), RevenueCat (for managing subscription status), and Cloudflare (for hosting our website). Your use of the app and the website is also subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
We provide the app on an “as available” basis. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the app, the website, or any of their features at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
If we discontinue a paid feature during a period you have paid for, you may be entitled to a refund for the unused part of that period under applicable consumer law.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that any tasks, reminders, or data will be accurate, reliable, or preserved.
To the extent any warranty cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum required by that law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed tasks, missed reminders, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app. PinkyPact is an accountability aid, not a guarantee that any task will be completed.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation — and nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel any active subscription; cancel that separately in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are between you and PinkyPact, not Apple, and Apple is not a party to them. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party may have relating to the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence, or your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law gives you that right.
